The town of Salou host between Friday and Monday, May 21, the second edition of the International Tournament Veterans Costa Dorada, which will bring together players and players from 40 years from 12 different countries.

In addition to Catalan and Spanish participants, will be moved up to the Gold Coast to take part in the tournament in France, England, Italy, Russia paddlers, Wales, Austria, Israel, Sweden, Portugal, Latvia and Japan.

Once suited the competition according to the number of participants by age and gender, the game provides a total of eleven tests:

• Men's singles: 4 tests (40-49 years, 50-59, 60-69, from 70)

• Women's singles: 3 tests (40-49 years, 50-59, from 60)

• Men's doubles: 3 tests (40-49 years, 50-59, from 60)

• Women's doubles: 1 test (category only from the age of 40 years)

The competition will be played at Sports Hall located in close proximity to the speaker, Salou-between five and ten minutes walk from the three official hotels of the event: Hotel Calypso, Hotel Piramide and Albatros Apartments.

The full programme of the tournament, that stretches for four days the competition in two days and the morning of Monday, is this:

• Friday, may 18: Welcome reception participants

Hotel Piramide (c/Viladomat, 9) 18.00 h.

• Saturday May 19th: Competition: morning: 10.00 – 13.30 h

Afternoon: 16.00-19.30 h

• Sunday, May 20: Competition: morning: 10.00 – 13.30 h

Afternoon: 15.30 – 19.30 h

• Monday, May 21: Competition: morning: 10.00 – 13.30 h

Awards ceremony: 13.30 – 14.00 h

The II International Tournament Veterans Costa Dorada is organized by the Catalan Federation of Table Tennis, with the support of the city of Salou, the Tourist Board of the town and the General Secretariat of sports of the Government of Catalonia.
